Get out of the event venue and tour the local beef industry. Our popular National Angus and Beef Blitz tours offer you an inside look at the region’s beef operations and commerce, including an optional tour to the American Angus Association headquarters in St. Joseph, Missouri.

The National Angus Tour is a tradition for many breeders. This year, the tour is brought to you by the Kansas Angus Association with stops at Downey Ranch and Fink Beef Genetics. Vytelle is sponsoring the event and will hold a Lunch and Learn session during the tour.
Buses will depart from the Downtown Marriott Central Street Lobby at 6:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.
This tour is limited to 200 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserve your spot during registration.

American Angus Open House
Convention attendees are invited to tour the American Angus Association headquarters located an hour north of the convention venue in St. Joseph, Missouri. The tour includes a new display illustrating the history of the beef industry and the impact of the Angus breed. Tour attendees will gain a better understanding of how the Association staff is working to serve the membership.
On Friday, Oct. 31st, buses will leave from the hotel at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.
On Monday, Nov. 3rd, office tours will begin at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Attendees will be responsible for getting themselves to the office.
Each time slot is limited to 50 people.
Beef Blitz
Ever wondered how food makes its way across the country after it leaves the packer? Join us on a tour of Sysco Kansas City, a foodservice distributor licensed to sell the Certified Angus Beef® brand. Get inside one of the key players in the supply chain to see how beef gets to restaurants and how they leverage premium brands with their customers. Enjoy lunch on us before heading back for the afternoon sessions.
Buses will depart from the Downtown Marriott Central Street Lobby at 7:00 a.m. and return around 1:00 p.m.
