Angus Champions Named at the National Western Junior Show
Junior Angus members led 131 entries at the 2015 National Western Stock Show’s Junior Angus Show, Thursday, Jan. 15 in Denver, Colo. Jonathan Perry, Fayetteville, Tenn., evaluated the 128 females and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
Calli Bayer, Ringle, Wis., led the grand champion female. Top Line Lady 3330 is an April 2013 daughter of EXG RS First Rate S903 R3 and first won junior champion.
Schnoor Winnie 9323 was named reserve grand champion female. Sydney Schnoor, Chowchilla, Calif., owns the August 2013 daughter of Dameron First Impression. She first claimed intermediate champion honors.
Trista Bates, Manhattan, Mont., led the grand champion cow-calf pair. Cherry Knoll Elisha 1146 is an April 2011 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. A May 2014 heifer calf sired by SSCO Dateline TwentyTen X003 completes the winning duo.
D C Kansas Kitty 210 claimed reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Leslie Craig, Harrodsburg, Ky. She is the May 2010 daughter of RR Expectation 553 and has a June 2014 bull calf sired by SCC First-N-Goal GAF 114 at side.
