Angus Champions Named at 2014 Oregon State Fair ROV Show
Angus exhibitors competed for top honors at the 2014 Oregon State Fair Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, August 24 in Salem, Ore. Doug Satree, Montague, Texas, evaluated the 121 entries, which included 83 females, 30 bulls and eight cow-calf pairs.
Silveiras First Response2510 claimed grand champion and senior champion bull honors. Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif., owns the October 2012 son of Dameron First Class.
K Bar D Dateline 1056 won reserve grand champion bull. The April 2012 son of Vermilion Dateline 7078 first won reserve senior champion. K Bar D, Redmond, Ore., owns the winning bull.
EXAR Saras Dream 3775 captured grand champion female honors for Corrie Falleur, Gearhart, Ore. The February 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class first topped the junior division.
DPL Sandy 3040 claimed reserve grand champion female and reserve junior champion honors. Dawson DalPorto, Brentwood, Calif., owns the April 2013 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.
K Bar D Wendy 1010 won grand champion cow-calf pair. K Bar D owns the April 2012 daughter of Vermilion Pony X Press. A February 2014 heifer calf sired by K Bar D Joe Canada 18Y completes the winning duo.
Katelyn McCoy, La Grande, Ore., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. McCoy Elba 210-7546 is a January 2012 daughter of Connealy Packer 547. A February 2014 bull calf sired by S A V Brilliance 8077 is at side.
