Angus Champions Selected at 2014 Minnesota State Fair
Angus entries competed for top honors at the 2014 Minnesota State Fair Angus Show, August 14 in Saint Paul, Minn. Marshall Ruble, Ames, Iowa, evaluated the 106 entries, which included 84 females, 19 bulls and 3 cow-calf pairs.
S&R Roundtable J328 claimed grand champion bull honors. Jared Radcliffe, Weston, Wis., owns the April 2013 son of Plainview Lutton E102. He first claimed junior champion.
Bullerman Consensus 1427 was named reserve grand champion bull. Bullerman Angus, Adrian, Minn., and Ross Wiertsema, Little Rock, Iowa, own the January 2014 son of Connealy Consensus 7229 that earlier won junior calf champion.
PVF Empress 3140 captured grand champion female and junior champion for Jordan Johnson, Fort Dodge, Iowa. She’s an April 2013 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.
Calli Bayer, Ringle, Wis., claimed reserve grand champion female. Top Line Lady 3330 is an April 2013 daughter of EXG RS First Rate S903 R3 and first won reserve junior champion.
Calli Bayer also claimed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Gambles JAS Jestress 5012 is a May 2012 daughter of S A V Net Worth 4200. A March 2014 heifer calf sired by CLF Freedom Force 06Z completes the winning pair.
Dana Youngerberg, Springfield, Minn., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. YAF Georgina 735 is a February 2007 daughter of S A V 8180 Traveler 004. A March 2014 bull calf sired by Soo Line Motive 9016 is at side.
