Angus Champions Named at 2012 Iowa Beef Expo Angus Show & Sale
Angus exhibitors led 120 lots at the 2012 Iowa Beef Expo Angus Show & Sale, Feb. 15 in Des Moines, Iowa. Alan Miller, Gridley, Ill., evaluated the 76 bulls and 44 females that sold the following day.
Bruhn Angus, Manning, Iowa, consigned the grand champion bull. B A Net Profit 101 is a January 2011 son of S A V Net Worth 4200. He earlier claimed early junior calf champion.
RLM Mr Business 11Y claimed reserve grand champion bull and late junior calf champion honors. Reed McCormick, Pleasantville, Iowa, consigned the March 2011 son of S A V Bismarck 5682.
CJ Ragin Rosa 35X won grand champion female. Kiersten Jass, Garner, Iowa, consigned the March 2010 daughter of P V F New Horizon 001. She earlier claimed top honors in the junior champion division.
Burns Angus, Oxford, Iowa, consigned the reserve grand champion female and early junior calf champion Burns Elba 1128. She is a February 2011 daughter of EXAR Spartan 6225.
