Merck to Sponsor Angus University at Angus Convention

Fifth-annual Angus University to bring exciting educational event.

The American Angus Association® is pleased to announce Merck Animal Health as the sponsor for the premier educational event Angus University at the 2018 Angus Convention. The 2018 convention will be held in Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 3-5.

“We are very thankful to have such a supportive sponsor like Merck Animal Health for Angus University,” said Clint Mefford, American Angus Association director of communications. “For the past four years, convention attendees have looked forward to this educational series to learn new and exciting things about the beef industry. This year, we are ready to deliver another valuable educational event.”

This year’s workshop will bring top-ranked speakers, including general session speakers Mark Nutsch and Cameron Bruett. Nutsch is a Green Beret commander and will share his true-life story about leading others in unconventional warfare. Bruett is the lead for corporate affairs and sustainability for JBS® USA and Member-at-Large for the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. He is a dynamic leader, and attendees should plan to listen to his presentation.

Afternoon breakout session topics of Angus University will include AngusLinkSM, marketing and advertising, modern cattle handling, Certified Angus Beef® (CAB), genetics, foot scoring and more beef-centered subjects.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with Merck Animal Health again this year to provide quality educational workshops for Angus producers across the U.S.,” Mefford said. “Without their support, this workshop would not be possible.”

Discounted registration is open for Angus Convention until September 30. For more information about Angus Convention, visit www.angusconvention.com.
