Roll of Victory Show Winners Recognized at the Angus Convention

Top show cattle honored during the Awards Recognition Breakfast Nov. 4 in Reno, Nevada.

Express Ranches continue an eight-year streak of Roll of Victory (ROV) Breeder of the Year, and ROV Show Heifer of the Year and Show Bull of the Year were named at the 2019 Angus Convention on Nov. 4 in Reno, Nevada. Angus cattle have a tradition of excellence in the show ring, and this history continues in show rings around the country each year. The American Angus Association® offers the ROV Show Program to recognize show-winning animals and their sires and dams, and exceptional Angus cattle and their breeders/owners who were winners during the 2018-2019 show season.

“ These ROV champions stand out from an extremely competitive industry and represent some of the best phenotype cattle in the business,” said Mark McCully, American Angus Association CEO. "The breeders and exhibitors invest an incredible amount of work and effort into exhibiting their cattle around the country. These awards go to the best of the best."

The ROV season runs from June 1 through May 31 and consists of 19 shows. Points for these shows are accumulated on an annual basis.

The ROV Show Heifer of the Year was T/R NFF Princess E307, owned by Kayden Nowatzke, Michigan City, Indiana. This heifer was supreme champion and grand champion at the 2018 All American Breeders’ Futurity ROV, as well as the grand champion at both the 2019 National Western Stock Show ROV and Fort Worth ROV.

The ROV Show Bull of the Year was C&C Intuition 7104, owned by Ryan Callahan, Edmond, Oklahoma; Express Ranches, Yukon, Oklahoma; Cross Creek Farms Inc, Brimfield, Illinois. C&C Intuition 7104 was the grand champion at the 2019 Dixie National ROV and reserve grand champion at the 2019 National Western Stock Show. In 2018, he was the grand champion at the National American International Livestock Expo ROV.

Recognized with top honors as the ROV Breeder of the Year was Express Ranches, Yukon, Oklahoma. Express Ranches has won Breeder of the Year every year since 2012, an 8-year streak.
