Southeast Angus Regional Manager Named
Will Harsh joins the American Angus Association Dec. 9.
Will Harsh has been selected as the American Angus Association® regional manager for Region 13, which consists of Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. He joins the Association from Oklahoma State University, where he was the purebred beef range manager.
“We’re thrilled to add another past junior Angus member as a regional manager,” said David Gazda, American Angus Association director of field services. “His hands-on experience in his previous roles will be an asset to the Angus team.”
Prior to his role at Oklahoma State University, Harsh was a ranch hand at J&J Cattle Company. He also was herdsman with his family’s Angus operation with the responsibility for the well-being of the cow herd, including management of the overall herd health, breeding and calving programs. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with an animal science degree in May of 2018.
“My grandparents raise registered Angus cattle, my mother was employed with the Ohio Angus Association and our family actively raises registered Angus,” Harsh said. “So, it was only natural that I was raised within the ‘Angus family’ and had the good fortune to be an active member of the National Junior Angus Association. I credit those leadership development experiences both inside the show ring and outside it, competing in contests, and enhancing my communications skills with shaping me into the person I am today.”
Harsh was active in the Ohio Junior Angus Association, where he served as reporter and vice president, and participated in several National Junior Angus Association conferences and events.
