Angus Champions Parade at 2017 World Beef Expo ROV Show
Angus enthusiasts led 126 entries at the 2017 World Beef Expo Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, September 22 in Milwaukee, Wis. Tyler Cates, Modoc, Ind., evaluated the 96 females, 23 bulls and seven cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
DAJS HH Bonfire 300 claimed supreme champion and grand champion bull for Andrew Hodges, Montague, Texas. He is a March 2015 son of DAJS After Burn 714 and first won senior champion.
Mindemann Rock Candy 604 won reserve grand champion bull. Andy and Leah Mindemann, Watertown, Wis., own the March 2016 son of Plainview Lutton E102. He earlier won junior champion.
Lauryn Mool, Lexington, Ill., led the grand champion female TopLine FCF Proven Queen 161. She is a February 2016 daughter of Dameron First Class and first won junior champion.
Ella Brooks, Prophetstown, Ill., showed the reserve grand champion female. Dameron Northern Miss 6144 is an April 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. She first won reserve junior champion.
Brady Schnelten, Rockbridge, Ill., owns the supreme champion and grand champion cow-calf pair. Top Line Lady 5103 is an April 2015 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. A February 2017 bull calf sired by Hurlbut OSU Final Exam 513 is at side.
Lazy H Bar Forever Lady 517 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. She is a January 2015 daughter of Dameron First Class. A February 2017 heifer calf sired by Silveiras Esquire 3544 completes the winning pair. Gracia Ramp, Yates City, Ill., owns the winning pair.
