AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION - THE BUSINESS BREED

Current Impact

Your dollars invested in the Angus Foundation provide for a number of young people to attend college, American Angus Association members to grow in their leadership and knowledge of the Angus breed, and researchers to help find solutions for Angus breeders.

Existing Angus Foundation assets and new gifts received from generous donors and sponsors help fund, for example, the following education, youth and research activities:

  • NJAA Raising the Bar Leadership Conferences
  • Genomic Sequencing of Angus Sires Research
  • Beef Cow Biological Efficiency Research
  • Genetic Evaluation Methodology for Traits of Economic Importance in Angus Cattle Research
  • Representative to Young Cattleman's Conference (YCC)
  • Beef Leaders Institute (BLI)
  • Women Connected Conference
  • Youth Beef Industry Conference (YBIC)
  • 50 Angus Foundation General Undergraduate Scholarships
  • 5 - Angus Foundation General Graduate Student Scholarships
  • Numerous other in-memory/named scholarships
  • Allied Angus Breeders Scholarship
  • Leaders Engaged in Angus Development (LEAD) Conference
  • National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) Board of Directors
  • NJAA Fall and Spring Directions Newsletters
  • Elements of National Junior Angus Show (NJAS)
  • NJAA Outstanding Leadership Award
  • Honorary Angus Foundation
  • NJAA STAR Conference
  • National Angus Ambassador
  • Talon Internship Program

As evidenced by this list, donors' gifts are making a difference in the Angus Foundation's ability to service the education, youth and research needs of Angus breeders. Expansion of these programs, and the development of new pursuits on the horizon, will depend heavily on charitable investments from visionary and progressive donors.
