The Certified Angus Beef Targeting the Brand Logo will identify animals with genetic predictions focused on carcass quality.
The logo requirements can be met when genetic predictions are breed average or higher for two key metrics: Marbling EPD and Grid
Value ($G). Qualifying animals (as of Fall 2020
) will need a marbling EPD of at least +.65, and $G of at least +55.
These values represent the breed average for non-parent bulls, which will be utilized regardless of sex and age.
