13th Annual Angus Foundation Golf Tournament Grosses $13,345

Tournament proceeds will benefit the Angus Foundation’s youth, education and research efforts for the Angus breed.

 

Sixty-nine Angus youth and adult participants helped raise $13,345 in gross proceeds for education, youth and research at the 13th Annual Angus Foundation Golf Tournament, hosted July 7, 2013, at the Shiloh Springs Golf Club in Platte City, Mo. The tournament was hosted in conjunction with the 2013 National Junior Angus Show in Kansas City, Mo.

 

“Our sponsors and players deserve the credit for the success of the Angus Foundation’s Golf Tournament,” says Milford Jenkins, Angus Foundation president. “Their financial support, involvement and most importantly, interest in helping a worthwhile cause is where it begins and for that, we say thank you!”

 

Golf tournament winners this year in Flight A included Gary Stevenson, Clayton Stevenson and Travis Stevenson all of Caldwell, Texas. Flight B winners were Austin Brandt and Weston Brandt of Corning, Iowa; Clay Williams of Bishop, Ga.; and Kurt Greiman of Perry, Iowa. Flight C winners included David Hunter and Clint Hunter of Fair Grove, Mo.; Tanner Dowling of Springfield, Mo.; and Dustin Carter of Vermillion, S.D.

 

2013 Tournament sponsors included event sponsor Mark and Cindy Ahearn of Turner Meadow Ranch, Wills Point, Texas. Megan Ahearn, Angus Foundation director on the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) Board of Directors from Wills Point, Texas, and Luke Nord, member of the NJAA Board of Directors from Wolverton, Minn., served this year’s masters of ceremonies.
