Matching Gift Challenge Encourages Angus Members to Support the Angus Foundation

Participate in the “Faces of Progress” annual fund solicitation to help the Foundation in an even bigger way.

Progress is evident in the Angus Foundation, just in simply looking at the faces of its supporters and those individuals who benefit from that support. Donors are truly the reason why the Angus Foundation can help Angus youth attend college, cattle producers learn how to be more progressive on their operations and researchers uncover useful information to make the Angus breed even better.

Together, with its “Faces of Progress,” the Angus Foundation is adding value to the Angus breed every day. By participating in the Angus Foundation’s annual fund, appropriately themed “Faces of Progress,” you can continue to enhance the Angus Foundation’s efforts. Now is the time to give!

In this season of giving, Angus breeder and commercial producer Mark Milano of Milano Land & Cattle Company, LLC, Tehachapi, Calif., will generously make available to the Angus Foundation a $10,000 matching gift in support of the “Faces of Progress” annual fund drive to raise unrestricted funds for youth, education and research. This matching fund offer will expire Jan. 31, 2013.

To participate and help the Angus Foundation receive these matching funds, make your unrestricted charitable gift, before Jan. 31, to the Angus Foundation. The deadline of Jan. 31 has been set to give individuals time to support this matching funds campaign and contribute in the year they deem most fitting for their financial and tax situation. All unrestricted outright cash gifts made in response to the “Faces of Progress” will count toward this matching offer. Upon achieving the $10,000 benchmark, the Angus Foundation will receive the matching funds from Milano Land & Cattle Company, LLC, to move the Foundation significantly closer to the $50,000 annual fund goal this year.

“As agricultural producers, return on investment is a high priority for all of us when making financial decisions,” says Milford Jenkins, Angus Foundation president. “When you can leverage a 1:1 match with your investment automatically, it’s a wise decision, in addition to experiencing the joy of giving and helping others. We share in Mark Milano’s enthusiasm, and we’re confident you too will want to help your Angus Foundation be successful in this effort.”

As you consider your charitable giving, know you can help Angus Foundation create even more smiling faces with your tax-deductible gift before Jan. 31, by sending a check to the Angus Foundation at 3201 Frederick Ave., Saint Joseph, MO 64506. You can also make your contribution online by credit or debit card at www.angusfoundation.org, or by calling 816-383-5100.

The Angus Foundation was established in 1980 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization to support Angus education, youth and research. To learn more about the Angus Foundation and the programs it supports, log on to www.angusfoundation.org or call 816-383-5100.
