Make Plans to Attend the
Angus Foundation’s 2012 Supporter Recognition Event in Louisville
The Angus Foundation will host its annual
event Nov. 10.
The Angus Foundation looks forward to recognizing its donors on Saturday evening, Nov. 10, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Louisville-Airport Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Ky., at its Supporter Recognition Event.
All Angus supporters who have contributed $250 this fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2011 – Sept. 30, 2012) to the Angus Foundation will be invited to attend this donor recognition celebration.
Special features of the event will be announcements of significant gifts to the Angus Foundation during the past fiscal year. In addition, the Angus Foundation will offer at auction the Ruger® 10/22® Cattle Drive, a .22LR semi-automatic rifle, with all proceeds benefiting the Foundation’s efforts to support youth, education and research programs. This limited-edition rifle has engraved along both sides of its walnut stock scenes of cattle drives that depict the story of the American West. This unique and beautiful rifle provides a great talking piece and would make a great addition to any gun collection.
The theme of the 2012 Angus Foundation Supporter Recognition Event, “Faces of Progress,” will help depict how Angus Foundation funds are used to support youth of the National Junior Angus Association, breeders who take part in educational opportunities provided by the Angus Foundation and researchers who are finding applicable solutions for Association members on their operations.
“It’s always a pleasure for the Angus Foundation to recognize and reward those donors who have went above and beyond in their charitable giving to reach the Angus Foundation’s prestigious Angus Associate contribution benchmark or higher levels in the fiscal year,” says Milford Jenkins, Angus Foundation president. “These $250 outright cash gifts, donated unrestricted or earmarked by donors specifically for the education, youth or research focus of their choice and interest, play a huge role in their Angus Foundation’s abilities to fund scholarships, provide leadership training and educational experiences for youth and adults alike, and make new discoveries in research for the economic benefit of our members and Angus breed.”
