Unlock Your Weaning Strategy

Experts discuss the toughest weaning management questions as the popular Vita Ferm¨ Angus Hour returns to live television.

Weaning season is one of the most critical time periods in the lives of your calves. How well you manage that hurdle will influence their health, performance, end-product quality — and, most importantly, your bottom line.

Tune in to The Vita Ferm Angus Hour, 7 p.m. (CST), Monday, Aug. 9 on RFD-TV to learn more about comprehensive pre-weaning and weaning strategies and to hear from industry experts who will discuss solutions to your most difficult weaning management issues.

The live, hour-long program is sponsored by the American Angus Association¨ and Biozyme Inc. — makers of Vita Ferm¨ and other industry-leading animal nutrition products — and will again include audience questions. (Click here to submit a question prior to the show.)

Industry experts appearing on the program include: Dr. Howard Jensen, nutritionist for Biozyme Inc.; and Dr. Larry Corah and Mark McCully, Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB).

The Aug. 9 educational program follows the first Vita Ferm Angus Hour, which debuted in April.

ÒOur initial program reached thousands of viewers and was a significant success based on their participation and feedback,Ó said Eric Grant, Association director of public relations and communications. ÒWe look forward to offering another valuable program that again provides timely production and nutrition tips while sharing the benefits of the Angus breed.Ó

Bob Norton, president of Biozyme Inc., said The Vita Ferm Angus Hour will equip cattle producers — regardless of herd size or location — with critical information for maintaining competitiveness and economic strength.

ÒWeÕre proud to partner with the Angus community on this valuable program,Ó Norton said. ÒThe issues and industry insight discussed will be universal and can be incorporated by viewers of any breed of cattle for the benefit of their own businesses and the long-term economic position of their herds.Ó

RFD-TV is available on Dish Network channel 231, DirecTV channel 345 and through more than 625 small, independent cable providers.

Additional episodes are scheduled to re-air Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 9 A.M. (CST) and Sunday, Aug. 15, at 2 A.M. (CST) on RFD-TV. Segments from the show will also be posted online.
