Become a Permanent Part of Angus History in “Building an Angus legacy!”

Remember to participate in this fundraiser to leave your legacy at the American Angus Association® headquarters. Deadline for participation has been extended to July 15.

The Angus Foundation would like to thank Angus breeders and friends who have wanted to leave a mark permanently at the American Angus Association headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo., and submitted donations to “Building an Angus legacy!”

For those who are interested in the project but haven’t yet taken part, it is not too late to leave your legacy behind in the Angus breed, all while supporting your Angus Foundation and its youth, education and research programs. The deadline to submit donations for this project has been extended to July 15 to allow for donations during the 2013 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS) in Kansas City, Mo., July 5-11.

The American Angus Association front entrance walkway will be completely remodeled with black granite and red brick to match the historic building. Until July 15, 2013, for a tax-deductible unrestricted donation of $250, $500 or $2,500 to “Building an Angus legacy!” you will be recognized on a beautiful personalized engraved granite paver.

Recognition on a 6 X 12-inch (in.) granite paver is available for a $250 donation. For $500, you can be recognized on a 12 X 12-in. paver. These two sizes will be placed in the ground at the entrance. Twenty-four 8 X 16-in. granite pavers will be laid within a brick wall leading up to the Association door. Recognition on these pavers is available at $2,500. After July 15, if the Angus Foundation opens a second phase for order submission, prices will go up to include on-site engraving cost.

A limited number of each size of granite paver will be available, and orders are coming in quickly. Submit your order and payment to the Angus Foundation as soon as possible to ensure availability of your preference. Orders will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only after the donation is received will engraving begin on the paver. The Angus Foundation is accepting orders via mail and online at www.angusfoundation.org. Net proceeds of the project will benefit activities supported Angus Foundation.

Only text will be allowed on the granite pavers, and each paver size has line and character limits to follow. However, in addition to the granite pavers, there will be the opportunity to be recognized on one of four granite planters, which will be displayed prominently at the remodeled entrance.

To be recognized on a planter, with the option to include your brand or logo, make sure to place your bids on the second of the four planters, which will be offered at www.angustradingpost.com July 1-11, 2013. The winning bidder will be announced at the 2013 NJAS. The four planters will be the only opportunities to have a brand or logo engraved into the granite.

What better way to be a part of Angus history than to have your name, your farm or ranch name or the name of a loved one or important cow or bull in your herd permanently and beautifully displayed outside the Association headquarters. The Angus Foundation looks forward to your participation in making this project come to life. Feel free to visit www.angusfoundation.org for more information, or call the Foundation at 816-383-5100. Foundation staff is also available to assist you in completing your order form based on the line and character limits.

The Angus Foundation was established in 1980 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization to support Angus education, youth and research. To learn more about the Angus Foundation and the programs it supports, log on to www.angusfoundation.org or call 816-383-5100.
