Angus Cattlemen to Attend the 2013 Cattle Industry Annual Convention

Tampa, Fla., will host hundreds of Angus producers during the upcoming Cattle Industry Annual Convention and NCBA Trade Show Feb. 6-9.

Many of those producers will be setting the policy and priorities of the livestock industry while participating in the joint and individual meetings of five of the industry’s leading organizations: National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB), American National CattleWomen Inc. (ANCW), CattleFax and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF).

Participants from across the country will enjoy top-notch general session speakers, including Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy. The Tuohy’s life was first chronicled in the bestselling book, The Blind Side and then went on to become a record-breaking Hollywood blockbuster film.

In addition, Stuart Varney offers a positive take on the economy, and in plain talk, describes, with up-to-the-minute detail, the current financial situation and what it means for you, your family, and your business. A veteran business and financial journalist, Varney is an in-demand speaker, correspondent and anchor, best known for his work on the FOX Business Network.

The Cattle Industry Annual Convention is known as a premier opportunity for educational sessions, as well. Popular events include the CattleFax Annual Outlook Seminar, the 20th Annual Cattlemen’s College® sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, and events at the Stockmanship and Stewardship Demonstration Area will provide producers with practical information on reproduction management, genetics, forage management, business strategies and much more.

Another highlight of the convention is the NCBA Trade Show — the largest of its kind in the cattle business. Stop by booth #323 to visit with representatives from the American Angus Association and Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB).

Angus booth visitors can learn more about Association and Angus Productions Inc. (API) programs and services, as well as the Certified Angus Beef® (CAB®) brand and what it takes to raise beef for the industry’s premier branded beef program. Be sure to ask staff about CAB’s GeneMax® Angus-specific DNA profile for commercial cattle and the Association’s new MaternalPlus® Program.

Don’t miss API’s complete online coverage, available at www.4cattlemen.com. The website features presentation summaries and photos, tradeshow news, as well as archives of past conventions.
