Bethaney Enos Received the Junior Bronze & Silver Awards

Bethaney Enos, Cambridge, Ohio, has earned the National Junior Angus Association’s (NJAA) Bronze and Silver Awards, according to James Fisher, director of junior activities for the American Angus Association® in Saint Joseph, Mo.

Bethaney is the 17-year-old daughter of Chip and Tracie Enos and attends Cambridge High School.  She is a member of the NJAA, Ohio and local junior Angus associations.  Bethaney has served as the treasurer for the Ohio Junior Angus Association for many years.  She has shown her Angus cattle and competed in showmanship at numerous shows on the local, state and regional levels.  Bethaney has marketed several head of cattle over the last few years.  Some of which have been consigned to the Eastern Ohio Angus Sale.  She joined the NJAA in 1995.

The Bronze and Silver Awards are the first two levels of the NJAA Recognition Program that began in 1972.  Junior Angus breeders must apply for the awards and then meet point requirements in many areas of participation before receiving the honors.  Applicants are evaluated in the areas of junior Angus association activities and leadership, participation in showmanship, contests and shows, using performance testing to improve their herd and their progress in producing and merchandising Angus cattle.

The NJAA promotes the involvement of young people in raising Angus cattle, while also providing leadership and self-development opportunities for nearly 11,000 members nationwide.
