Angus Rock Reno at 2008 Western National Angus Futurity

Elite Angus cattle and earthquakes that trembled up to a magnitude of 4.7 hit the 2008 Western National Angus Futurity (WNAF) Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, April 27-28 in Reno, Nevada. Ernie Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., evaluated the 125 females, 55 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions the 56^th WNAF.

Silveiras Elba 4328 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Craig & J.J. Reinhardt, Sloughhouse, Calif., and Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif., own the April 2004 daughter of B C C Bushwacker 41-93 and her September 2007 bull calf sired by TC Freedom 104.

Katy Satree, Montague, Texas, won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair with DAJS Lucy 649. She is a November 2004 daughter of P V F New Horizon 001. An October 2007 bull calf of DAJS The Matrix 008 completes the pair.

Brooklynn Bell, Delaware, Okla., exhibited the grand champion female, EXAR Princess 6414. The January 2006 daughter of Exar Lutton 1831 first won junior champion.

Cherry Knoll Ark Pride captured reserve grand champion female for Kirbe Schnoor, Chowchilla, Calif. The March 2007 daughter of Connealy Danny Boy first won the late junior calf division.

Sankeys Lazer 609 of 6N claimed the grand champion bull title. Aztec & Sankey Angus, Council Grove, Kan.; Craig & J.J. Reinhardt; and H A V E Angus, Wilton, Calif., own the February 2006 son of Exar Lutton 1831 that first won the junior division.

WK Power Up won reserve grand champion bull. Angus Genetics of Russia, Derevna Prudki; Russia; and Jake & Kami Scott, Gordon, Neb., own the January 2007 son of Lau Decade that first won early junior calf champion.
