Juniors Parade Angus Champions at the National Western Heifer Show

Junior Angus members led 136 entries at the 2008 National Western Stock Show’s Junior Angus Heifer Show, January 15 in Denver, Colo. Cody Sankey, Lansing, Mich., evaluated the 135 females and one cow-calf pair before selecting champions.

Kristen Oaks, Calhoun, La., led the grand champion female. OBAR Gambles Lady 1056 is a January 2006 daughter of B C Marathon 7022 and first won junior champion honors.

Vince Untied, Granville, Ohio, showed the reserve grand champion female. SCC Echo Dell Nellie 6005 is a March 2006 daughter of P V F New Horizon 001 and first won reserve junior champion.

Covells Cheyenne 0523 was named grand champion cow-calf pair. Kade Patton, Frankfort, Ind., owns the September 2005 daughter of S A V 8180 Traveler 004. A September 2007 bull calf sired by Connealy Timeline completes the winning pair.
