Champions Parade at 2008 Roll of Victory Angus Show in Fort Worth

Angus enthusiasts led 136 entries at the 2008 Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show’s Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, January 26 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jack Ward, Plattsburg, Mo., evaluated the 98 females, 37 bulls and one cow-calf pair before he selected champions.

Gambles Jaguar claimed the grand champion bull title after first winning junior champion. Holly Gamble, Clinton, Tenn., owns the February 2006 son of Gambles Hot Rod.

Freys KJF Hustler M35 R61 claimed reserve grand champion bull honors. The March 2006 son of B C Marathon 7022 is owned by Katrina Frey, Quarryville, Pa., and Wilson Cattle Company, Cloverdale, Ind. He first won reserve junior champion.

Covells Cheyenne 0523 claimed the grand champion female title for Kade Patton, Franfort, Ind.; Dameron Angus Farm, Lexington, Ill.; and Cherry Knoll Farm Inc., West Grove, Pa. She is a September 2005 daughter of S A V 8180 Traveler 004 and first won senior champion.

Champion Hill, Bidwell, Ohio, and Larry Simmons Farms, Coolville, Ohio, led Champion Hill EMBLYNETTE5691 to reserve grand champion female honors. The September 2006 daughter of S A V Net Worth 4200 first topped the senior calf division.

EXAR Blackbird 5377 claimed the grand champion cow-calf pair honors. Clinton Laflin, Olsburg, Kan., owns the February 2005 daughter of KG Dakota. A May 2007 bull calf sired by Laflins Warm Front 5115 is at side.
