Angus Champions Parade at 2005 American Royal Super Point ROV Show

Angus enthusiasts led 132 entries at the 2005 American Royal Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, October 24 in Kansas City, Mo. Mike Hartman, Tecumseh, Neb., evaluated the 93 females, 35 bulls and four cow-calf pairs before selecting the champions.

EXAR Pit Boss 409 claimed grand champion and junior champion bull honors. Jim Mattes, O Neal, Calif., and Express Angus Ranches, Shawnee, Okla., own the January 2004 son of Exar Sudden Impact 1537.

McCurry Bros., Sedgwick, Kan., led the reserve grand champion bull. Sedgwicks Designer 12964 is a November 2004 son of W C C Special Design L309 and first won senior calf champion.

Katy Satree, Montague, Texas, led the grand champion female. DAJS Lucy 649 is a November 2004 daughter of P V F New Horizon 001. She first won senior calf champion.

Express Angus Ranches showed the reserve grand champion female. EXG Forever Lady 5309 is a January 2005 daughter of BR Midland and first won junior calf champion.

B C Pure Pride 413 854E 304 won grand champion cow-calf pair. William Conley, Clarksdale, Mo., and Gallaghers Farm Inc., Ghent, N.Y., own the January 2003 daughter of O C C Emblazon 854E. A February 2005 heifer calf by O C C Legend 616L is at side.

Michael Murphy, Jefferson, Iowa, showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair, LaGrand Lady Echo 3497. She’s a February 2003 daughter of Famous 7001. A February 2005 bull calf sired by LaGrand Designer H314 is at side.
