Angus exhibitors led 140 entries at the 2004 Western Regional Junior Angus
Show, April 24 in Reno, Nev.
Joel Judge, San Luis Obispo, Calif., evaluated the 78 owned females,
35 bred-and-owned females, 14 bred-and-owned bulls, 7 steers and 6 cow-calf
pairs. Amanda
Penner, Mill Creek, Okla., led the grand champion owned female, B C Pure
Pride 413 854E 304. The January
2003 daughter of O C C Emblazon 854E first won junior champion heifer. Amber
Barker, Sparks, Nev., showed the reserve grand champion owned female. LaGrand Georgina 3171, a November
2002 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C, first topped the senior
division. Lindsey
Morgan, Canby, Ore., claimed grand champion bred-and-owned female honors with
LKM Lola 315. She’s a March 2003
daughter of WK Gunsmoke. Katy
Satree, Montague, Texas, led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned
female. DAJS Molly N322 is an
April 2003 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. Satree
also led the grand champion bred-and-owned bull. DAJS All Star M243 is an October 2002 son of Famous 7001. Ryan
Nelson, Wilton, Calif., showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned
bull. Five Star 394 Design 3001
is a January 2003 son of Bon View New Design 878. In
the steer show, DAJS Alfred 902 claimed grand champion honors for
Satree. He’s a March 2003 son of
Northern Improvement 4480 GF. Britney
Creamer, Montrose, Colo., exhibited the reserve grand champion steer. Lazy JB Kujoes DeVito 373 is a March
2003 son of C C C Krugerrand Kujoe 855. D
A J S Lauren K024 won grand champion cow-calf pair for Satree. The cow is an October 2002 daughter
of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C.
An October 2003 bull calf sired by Northern Improvement 4480 GF is at
side. Austin
Perry, Prather, Calif., led D C Emulous Blackbird 142 to the reserve grand
champion cow-calf pair honors.
She’s an October 2001 daughter of Northern Improvement 4480 GF. An October 2003 heifer calf sired by
