With snow still a possibility in many parts of the country, it may be hard to believe, but the official start of spring is here, and with it comes the season to declutter. This year, spring cleaning doesn’t have to be limited to your closets and junk drawers; with the help of the American Angus Association® you can also tackle your filing cabinets. 

Electronically stored registration papers can save space, time and money.  

Spending hours looking for lost registration papers can be a thing of the past. Members who opt-in to the system can access their registration certificates with the most up-to-date EPDs through their AAA Login.  

If a printed copy is required for a sale or check-in at a show, members can request one be printed and mailed to them by going to My Herd – Registration Certificate – Request Printed Registration Paper in their AAA Login or by emailing angus@angus.org. There is no charge for this service. 

Along with saving space in your office, e-storage can streamline many processes. Transfers can be completed online within one day and without a postage fee. Corrections to registrations can also be submitted and processed electronically.  

If this seems like the type of time and space-saving spring cleaning you’d like to implement this year, there are two ways to get started. For new registrations, members can opt-in to e-storage through their AAA Login. Members will find the option under My Account – Registration Certificate Storage Preference. It is a one-time opt-in for all future registrations. However, members can override the option at the time of registration if needed. 

The second option is where we really tackle the decluttering. If you’d like to move your entire herd online, simply mail your paper copies to the office to be uploaded to your AAA Login for future access at no charge. 

Currently, more than two-thirds of all annual registrations are e-stored, with more members adopting in to the process each year.  

The American Angus Association® is also actively working to reduce paper usage and streamline other services. Along with e-storing registration certificates, members can enroll in paperless billing and our newest feature, automatic dues renewal. These options and more information about them can be found under My Account in your AAA Login.
