The Beef Leaders Institute (BLI) is designed for American Angus Association members, 25-45 years old, as a resource to provide insight to all segments of the beef industry. Attendees will be stronger, more effective leaders for the Angus breed and beef industry, now and in the future.
The 2017 BLI is June 19-23, with the program beginning the morning of June 19. BLI is limited to 20 attendees each year. Applications are due by March 1, 2017.
The American Angus Association and Certified Angus Beef will provide transportation during BLI, as well as lodging, meals and materials. The conference begins in Saint Joseph, Missouri on Monday June 19th and concludes in Wooster, Ohio on June 23rd. The attendees will be responsible for their round-trip transportation between their home to Kansas City (if flying) or Saint Joseph (if driving) and their departure to home from Cleveland, OH. Transportation from the Kansas City airport to Saint Joseph on Sunday June 18th will be provided by the American Angus Association. Transportation from the Education and Culinary Center in Wooster, Ohio to a Cleveland, Ohio airport will be provided by Certified Angus Beef on Friday June 23rd. For participants driving to Saint Joseph; the American Angus Association staff can help you arrange air transportation from Cleveland to Kansas City and ground transportation to your vehicle in Saint Joseph but costs associated with this travel fall on the attendee.
