When you join the American Angus Association (AAA), you become a part of the world’s largest single beef breed organization in the world.

Your membership with AAA allows you to register Angus cattle, participate in Association programs and in decision making processes. All new members will receive a copy of the breeder's reference guide and three issues of the AAA 1,2,3 newsletter which provides information about Association policies, departments, programs and services.

If you are interested in receiving the Angus Journal, an invaluable tool for every Angus breeder, please be sure to indicate your subscription on your regular membership application. Junior members will automatically receive two youth oriented issues of the Journal (full subscriptions may be purchased at an additional cost).

If at any time we can be of assistance, please contact us. We look forward to having you as a member of the AAA.

Click here for a Junior Membership please print the application, fill it out and mail it to the association.

Click here for a Regular Membership please read the following, then print the application, fill it out and mail to the Association.

Regular membership may be applied for in the name of a person; a farm or ranch name; a partnership or a corporation. The fee of $80 is payable at the time the application is submitted.

Your regular membership is good for one year. Thereafter, annual dues are also required for all regular memberships.

Application should show the name in which the membership is to be entered. If animal registrations are to be applied for in an individual's name the membership should be in the name of the individual; if by a partnership the membership should be in the exact name of the partnership; if by a corporation the membership should be in the exact corporate name. All partners in a partnership, and at least two officers of a corporation must sign their names at the bottom of the application.

The length of a membership name and location must not exceed 40 spaces, for example:

                  1 2 3 4

When submitting the application please enclose the registration certificates of the Angus cattle you now own. Association records are kept in member and non-member section of the files, and the certificates will enable us to remove their record from the non-member group and place them under your name in the membership section. Your registration certificates will be re-issued showing your exact membership name and member code number. This will greatly facilitate registration of new calves when you submit applications or transfer animals you now own.

Your membership is the name you will transact your business with the Association office, and in the registration and transfer of purebred Angus cattle. Always use your membership name and code number on applications and in your correspondence. When you buy registered animals be sure to request transfer to your exact membership name, to avoid the possibility of having to pay correction fees later.

Animal registrations must be on record in the Association office in exactly the same name of the membership in order to record calves. Adjustments of the records may be necessary to accomplish this. Such adjustments or corrections will be made without charge, unless, under certain conditions, it is deemed necessary to require transfers of the registrations. The certificates will be returned to you promptly.
