Getting Started

To be eligible to enroll cattle in the AngusSource or Gateway program, you must first become a Producer Participant. To do this you must read the Producer Participant Manual, Program Requirements and Participation Requirements. Complete the Producer Participant Enrollment Form and Producer Participant Agreement and return them to AngusSource via mail or fax. Make sure you keep the manual and requirements for your records.

Once the enrollment form and agreement have been received by AngusSource you will be contacted to complete your training and evaluation over the phone. After successfully completing these steps you may begin the cattle enrollment process. Additional management questions will be asked and copies of required records must be submitted. In certain cases an on-site visit may be required.

To qualify for AngusSource calves must be enrolled by the ranch of origin, have known group age (first calf born) and be sired by a registered properly transferred Angus bull. Calves that do not qualify for AngusSource may qualify for enrollment in the Gateway program. Gateway verifies source and age only, there is no genetic requirements or genetic verification.

Once the cattle enrollment process is completed and all necessary records have been submitted, the calves are enrolled and you are listed as an Approved Supplier for the AngusSource or Gateway program. Download Manual

The next time you enroll cattle in the program you will fill out the Producer Participant Enrollment Form (ENR 200/300), undergo additional training, complete the cattle enrollment process and submit copies of your records.
