Miss American Angus

Keegan Cassady, Bloomington, Ill., was crowned the 2017 Miss American Angus Nov. 7 during the American Angus Association's Awards Recognition Breakfast, held in conjunction with the 2016 Angus Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. Keegan, the daughter of Jerry Cassady and Erica Johnson, will represent the Angus breed at numerous beef industry events during her reign. The American Angus Auxiliary sponsors the Miss American Angus contest, where five college youth compete for the honor. The competition includes a written quiz, an interview and public speaking before a panel of three judges.
