Second Place Carcass Group

Carcass Winners

These junior Angus members won top honors in the Carcass Steer Contest and were also part of the top 10 carcass group at the 2015 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS), July 13 in Tulsa, Okla. Callie Eastin, Gretna, Va., won grand champion & bred-and-owned grand champion carcass steer. The 1,365 pound steer sired by Riverbend Cornerstone graded low prime with a 2.5 yield grade. Chase Mogck, Olivet, S.D., won reserve champion carcass steer. The 1,440 pound steer sired by Connealy 5050 611B graded high prime with a 3.4 yield grade. Reba Colin, Butler, Mo., won reserve champion bred-and-owned champion carcass steer. The 1,070 pound steer sired by DSA Predestined Evrgrn 816 graded low prime with a 2.6 yield grade. Suter Clark, Gretna, Va., won fourth place. The 1,410 pound steer sired by Daltons Consensus 1550 graded high choice with a 2.3 yield grade.
