Cattle shows are a long-held tradition for many Angus families. Breeders of all ages travel to attend shows, evaluate
entries and celebrate the heritage of raising cattle.
Roll of Victory (ROV) Program - The American Angus Association sponsored Roll of Victory
program gives attention to the individual show-winning animals themselves (rather than entirely to their sires and dams) with
continued recognition to the sires of major award winners. The system also places attention to the winners and sires and dams
of winners on an annual, current year basis, rather than on accumulation of points over many years. The ROV show season runs
from June 1 through May 31.
Points are calculated from Super Point and Recognized ROV shows across the United States. Angus breeders do not have to sign
up to participate in the program, as animal’s points will be calculated automatically.

Angus Show Classifications – Across the United States, many shows qualify and receive premiums from the American Angus
Association. Shows must follow these classifications and the American Angus Association premium participation statement
to receive funds. Junior shows that exhibit more than 15 head of registered Angus cattle and Open shows that exhibit
more than 50 head of registered Angus cattle qualify for premiums. To learn more about receiving premiums for your show,
contact the Events and Education Department at 816/383-5100. Classifications can be found here, based off the date of the show.
