Angus Foundation Earns Awards

The Angus Foundation brought home two awards from the 2005 National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association’s (NAADA) 30th Annual Conference, June 11-15 in Des Moines, Iowa.  The Foundation placed first in the alumni and donor publications category and in the development projects category with its spring 2005 edition of “Foundations for the Future” newsletter, and “That Old Black Magic” Gala and Auction invitation.

“National recognition of this nature and magnitude bestowed upon the Angus Foundation by its peers from higher education and agricultural industry interests associated with NAADA is very humbling and rewarding,” said Milford Jenkins, director of development for the Foundation.  “Credit is to be given to Shelia Stannard, Callie Meinhardt, and Julie McMahon French for their invaluable assistance in helping the Angus Foundation with these respective communication pieces.”

According to Jenkins, more than 200 people were in attendance at this year’s conference and competition was entered from various colleges, alumni, student affairs, volunteer programs and other affiliated agricultural organizations throughout the United States.

“The Angus Foundation is tirelessly striving to further expand and enhance its communications with Angus breeders, allied industry interests, and friends who financially support the Foundation’s education, youth and research programs and this recognition will encourage us to work even harder toward that objective in the future,” Jenkins concluded.
