Angus Champions Named at 2018 Dixie National Junior Show

            Junior Angus exhibitors competed for top honors at the 2018 Dixie National Junior Round-Up Angus Show, February 6 in Jackson, Miss. Randy Daniel, Colbert, Ga., evaluated the 141 entries, which included 92 females and 49 bulls.

            Childs Confidence 24D claimed grand champion owned bull. Saxon Ballard, Potts Camp, Miss., owns the February 2016 son of Connealy Confidence 0100. He also claimed Mississippi bred champion.

            Patricks D&B Watchout K45 won reserve grand champion owned bull. Whitney Watts, Wesson, Miss., owns the March 2017 son of Silveiras Watchout 0514. He also won Mississippi bred reserve champion.

            Taylors Alice 116 captured owned grand champion female honors for Claire-Mann Taylor, Tishomingo, Miss. She is the October 2016 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B.

Checkerhill Enchantress 714 claimed reserve grand champion female. Jace Welborn, Stringer, Miss., owns the January 2017 daughter of PVF Windfall SCC 9005.

ACC Lexie 6517 claimed Mississippi bred champion female for Mary Stratton, Crystal Springs, Miss. She is a June 2017 daughter of Banner O’Reilly Factor 1452.

            Rockin D’s Eva Lynn 49 won Mississippi bred reserve champion female for Hannah Buse, Petal, Miss. She is a January 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.
