Angus Champions Named at 2018 American Royal ROV Show
Angus enthusiasts gathered for the 2018 American Royal Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, October 27 in Kansas City, Mo. Todd Herman, Harrod, Ohio, evaluated the 153 entries, which included 126 females, 25 bulls and two cow-calf pair.
WB Pendleton 708 PVF SWSN claimed grand champion and junior champion bull honors. Carter Ward, Plattsburg, Mo., and Hoffman Ranch, Thedford, Neb., own the February 2017 son of Dameron Best In Class.
Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., owns the reserve grand champion bull. BNWZ/SWNY Specialty 7200 is a February 2017 son of PVF Insight 0129. He first won reserve junior champion.
Seldom Rest Sandy 7046 won grand champion female for Chance Myers, Edmond, Okla. The March 2017 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B first won late junior champion.
EXAR Frontier Gal 2057 claimed reserve grand champion female for Alexis Koelling, Curryville, Mo. The October 2017 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B also won early senior calf champion.
K Bar D, Redmond, Ore., and Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif., own the grand champion cow-calf pair. Silveiras Princess 6358 is a June 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. A May 2018 bull calf sired by K Bar D Smokin’ Joe 27D is at side.
Bar S Pride 3695 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Jayce Dickerson, Paradise, Kan. She is the April 2013 daughter of B C Lookout 7024. A March 2018 heifer calf sired by BSF Hot Lotto 1401 completes the winning pair.
