Champions Selected at Missouri Angus Preview Show
Angus enthusiasts exhibited 161 entries at the 2017 Missouri Angus Association Preview Show, June 11 in Sedalia, Mo. John McCurry, Burrton, Kan., evaluated 127 owned females, 21 bulls, four cow-calf pairs and nine steers before naming the winners.
SydGen II Chloe 5463 won the honors of grand champion female after being named senior champion. Chase Monte, Mexico, Mo., owns the September 2015 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B.
Hillard Frontier Gal 606 claimed reserve grand champion female honors for Olivia Gerloff, Bland, Mo. The March 2016 daughter of Dameron First Impression previously won junior champion. She also claimed champion Jackpot heifer.
Broken E Nitro 166 won the title of grand champion bull. Brittany Eagleburger, Buffalo, Mo., owns the May 2016 son of Silveiras Style 9303. He previously won intermediate champion.
Hillard Stonewall 601 was awarded reserve grand champion bull after claiming junior champion. Kimberlee Gieseker, Holliday, Mo., and Gerloff Farms, Bland, Mo., own the January 2016 son of PVF Insight 0129.
Juliette Mead and Annaliese Mead, both of Barnett, Mo., own the grand champion cow-calf pair. Mead Emma M290 is a January 2013 daughter of Connealy Final Product. A January 2017 daughter of PVF Insight 0129 completes the winning pair.
Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Conley SSis Enchantress 5100 is a March 2015 daughter of Bushs Unbelievable423. Her calf is a February 2017 bull sired by PVF Insight 0129.
