Angus Champions Parade at 2017 Illinois State Fair

            Angus enthusiasts led 105 entries at the 2017 Illinois State Fair Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, August 15 in Springfield, Ill. Scott Bush, Britton, S.D., evaluated the 84 females, 16 bulls and five cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.

            Dameron CB First Responder claimed grand champion bull honors after first winning junior champion. Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the March 2016 son of B F First Transaction.

            ES Insight 702 was named reserve grand champion bull. Ben Sellmeyer, Maroa, Ill., owns the January 2017 son of PVF Insight 0129 that first won junior calf champion.

            Kalie Rumbold, Wyanet, Ill., captured grand champion female honors with Dameron C-5 Cheyenne 1628. The March 2016 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303 first won  junior champion.

            Ella Brooks, Prophetstown, Ill., led the reserve grand champion female. Dameron Northern Miss 6144 is an April 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. She first won reserve junior champion.

            Brady Schnelten, Rockbridge, Ill., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Top Line Lady 5103 is an April 2015 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. A February 2017 bull calf sired by Hurlbut OSU Final Exam 513 completes the winning pair.

            Dameron Blackbird 548 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Jacob Henderson, Mackinaw, Ill., owns the February 2015 daughter of Dameron First Class. A May 2017 bull calf sired by S A V Brilliance 8077 is at side.
