Winners Chosen at Central Illinois Preview Show

Angus enthusiasts led 161 entries at the 2017 Central Illinois Angus Association Preview Show, June 2, in Bloomington, Ill. Bruce Stertzbach, Louisville, Ohio, evaluated the 16 bulls, 127 females, nine steers and nine cow-calf pairs.

Dameron CB First Responder earned grand champion bull honors after first winning junior champion. Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the March 2016 son of B F First Transaction.

Wilson Cattle Company, Cloverdale, Ind., and Olivia Wilson, Ogden, Ill., own the reserve grand champion bull. WCC Classen D124 is an October 2016 son of EXAR Classen 1422B. He first won senior calf champion.

Dameron C-5 Cheyenne 1628 won grand champion female. Kalie Rumbold, Wyanet, Ill., owns the March 2016 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. She first won late junior champion.

DDA Northern Miss 1548 was named reserve grand champion female after first winning senior champion. Hailey Boyd, Waynesville, Ill., owns the September 2015 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.

64 Rizzo 1656 won grand champion steer. Katrina Lowry, Oregon, Ill., owns the March 2016 son of FCF Payday 105.

Ella Eathington, Avon, Ill., exhibited the reserve grand champion steer. RF Peppers 1639 is a March 2016 son of Dameron Second Chance.

Paige Lemenager, Hudson, Ill., captured grand champion cow-calf pair honors. Dameron Northern Miss 505 is a January 2015 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. A January 2017 heifer calf sired by Dameron First Impression is at side.

            Lazy H Bar Forever Lady 517 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Gracia Ramp, Yates City, Ill., owns the January 2015 daughter of Dameron First Class. A February 2017 heifer calf sired by Silveiras Esquire 3544 completes the winning pair.
