Champions Parade at 2017 Atlantic National Super Point ROV Angus Show
Angus enthusiasts led 172 entries at the 2017 Atlantic National Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, May 28 in Timonium, Md. Arlen Sawyer, Bassett, Neb., evaluated the 138 females, 28 bulls and six cow-calf pairs before naming champions.
DAJS Special Effects 044 claimed supreme champion and grand champion bull honors. Payton Herzog, Robinson, Texas, owns the May 2015 son of DAJS After Effect 714 that first won intermediate champion.
Doug Satree Angus, Montague, Texas, and Haley Herzog, Robinson, Texas, own the reserve grand champion bull. DAJS HH Bonfire 300 is the March 2015 son of DAJS After Burn 714 and first won junior champion.
Beaver Creek Blackcap 673 claimed grand champion female honors. Conner Grim, Dover, Pa., owns the May 2016 daughter of WWSC Slider that first won early summer calf champion.
PDV Ark Pride 397D was named reserve grand champion female and late spring calf champion. Jake Rippeon, Frederick, Md., owns the April 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.
Allison Davis, Shelbyville, Tenn., owns the grand champion cow with natural calf pair. AED Rita 328A is a December 2013 daughter of Connealy Final Product. A November 2016 heifer calf sired by SAC Conversation is at side.
Freys KJF Arkpride U41-y101 claimed reserve grand champion cow with natural calf pair. Jade Zimmerman, Stevens, Pa., owns the September 2013 daughter of S A V Pioneer 7301. A February 2017 bull calf sired by 5T Power Chip 4790 completes the winning pair.
