Angus Champions Named at 2016 Mississippi State Fair Junior Show

Mississippi junior Angus members led 123 entries at the 2016 Mississippi State Fair Junior Angus Show, October 10 in Jackson, Miss. Kyle Gillooly, Wadley, Ga., evaluated the entries before naming winners.

Gabrielle Simpson, Tupelo, Miss., showed the grand champion bull. FCF Insight 507 is a January 2015 son of PVF Insight 0129.

J&J Classic Creek 153 was named reserve grand champion bull and is owned by John McFerrin, Mantachie, Miss. The March 2015 bull is the son of BC Classic 385-7. He also claimed champion Mississippi bred.

W A Lucys Bombshell 501 was named grand champion female. Elizabeth Rone, Courtland, Miss., owns the March 2015 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B. She also claimed champion Mississippi bred.

RF/CCR Blackbird 6022 claimed reserve grand champion female honors. John Davis, New Albany, Miss., owns the February 2016 daughter of PVF Windfall SCC 9005. She also won reserve champion Mississippi bred.

            Seth Ball, Terry, Miss., led the reserve champion Mississippi bred bull. Kiani T Rex 714 is the November 2014 son of Monogram Brilliance 2912.
