Champions Selected at Missouri Angus Preview Show
Angus enthusiasts exhibited 144 entries at the 2016 Missouri Angus Association Preview Show, June 12 in Sedalia, Mo. Josh Tyler, Perkins, Okla., evaluated 113 owned females, 23 bulls, three cow-calf pairs and five steers before naming the winners.
Conley SSis Enchantress 5100 won the honors of grand champion female after being named junior champion. Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo., owns the March 2015 daughter of Bushs Unbelievable423.
OAF Keela’s Kiara 1614 claimed reserve grand champion female honors for Elizabeth Otte, Saint Mary, Mo. The October 2014 daughter of O A F Prediction 912 previously won senior champion.
PCC Zeus 0115 won the title of grand champion bull. Kendra Pryor, Pleasant Hill, Mo., owns the January 2015 son of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B. He previously won junior champion.
DC Brilliance 0115 was awarded reserve grand champion bull after claiming calf champion. Carson Hoth, Anderson, Mo., owns the September 2015 son of S A V Brilliance 8077.
Paige Birk, Jackson, Mo., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Birks Forever Lady 14 is a December 2013 daughter of Vin-Mar O’Reilly Factor. A January 2016 daughter of PVF Insight 0129 completes the winning pair.
Truman Byergo, Dearborn, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Byergo Elia Queen 7290 is an April 2007 daughter of Mytty In Focus. Her calf is a December 2015 bull sired by Byergo Total Impact 377.
