Angus Champions Parade at Kentucky State Fair

            Angus exhibitors led 108 entries at the 2016 Kentucky State Fair Angus Show, August 26 in Louisville, Ky. Loran Wilson, Orleans, Ind., evaluated the 82 females, 22 bulls and four cow-calf pairs.

            Horsley Bros., Galva, Ill., and Anne Patton Schubert, Taylorsville, Ky., own the grand champion bull. HB Guyman 485 is a March 2014 son of H C A Mr Lux 06X.

            CAF Semper-fi 570 won reserve grand champion bull. Devan Brown, Bloomington, Ind., owns the March 2015 son of Silveiras Watchout 0514.

            Caroline Cowles, Rockfield, Ky., led the grand champion female. J&J Ever Entense 519 is an April 2015 daughter of Dameron First Class.

            Burks 6732 Emblynette 733C claimed reserve grand champion female. Anne Patton Schubert owns the March 2015 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B.

            Jonathan McGinnis, Shelbyville, Ky., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. APS Forever Lady Heather is January 2014 daughter of Dameron First Impression. A January 2016 daughter of Barstow Cash is at side.

            Devan Brown showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. WCC Mignonne B50 is a March 2014 daughter of TopLine Vision Fly Over 1395. A May 2016 heifer calf sired by C A F Special Force 307 is at side.
