Champions Selected at Indiana Angus Preview Show

Angus enthusiasts led 114 entries at the 2016 Indiana Angus Association Preview Show, June 11 in Lebanon, Ind. Barry Wesner, Chalmers, Ind., evaluated 17 bulls, 95 females and two cow-calf pairs before choosing winners.

            W C C Defense B80 was named grand champion bull. Wilson Cattle Company, Cloverdale, Ind.; LLB Angus, Erskine, Alberta, Can.; and Defense Associates, Cloverdale, Ind., own the May 2014 son of W C C Spoiler Y1. He first won senior champion.

            Karsyn Zenor, Attica, Ind., owns the reserve grand champion bull. GZ United Steaks 513 is a February 2015 son of GZ High Steaks 321. He first won junior champion.

            Seldom Rest Pin Up Gal 5062 claimed supreme champion and grand champion female honors after first winning late junior champion. Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., owns the April 2015 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B.

            Bryce Hofing, Coatesville, Ind., led the reserve grand champion female. BCII Sandy 0914 is a December 2014 daughter of BC II Skyfall 2812. She first won senior champion.

            Austin Nowatzke also exhibited the grand champion cow-calf pair. EXAR Envious Blackbird 7813 is a September 2013 daughter of Dameron First Impression. Her calf is a December 2015 heifer sired by WWSC Slider.

            WCC Mignonne B50 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Devan Brown, Bloomington, Ind., owns the March 2014 daughter of TopLine Vision Fly Over 1395. A May 2016 heifer calf sired by C A F Special Force 307 is at side.
