Winners Selected at Indiana Junior Preview Show
Indiana junior Angus members led 111 entries at the 2016 Indiana Angus Association Junior Preview Show, June 12 in Lebanon, Ind. Zack Butler, Lebanon, Tenn., evaluated nine bred-and-owned bulls, 23 bred-and-owned females, 64 owned females, two cow-calf pairs and 13 steers before choosing winners.
Shadymere Patton O’Malley529 was named grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Kade Patton, Frankfort, Ind., owns the May 2015 son of Vin-Mar O’Reilly Factor. He first won intermediate champion.
Devan Brown, Bloomington, Ind., owns the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. CAF Semper-fi 570 is a March 2015 son of Silveiras Watchout 0514. He first won junior champion.
BCII Arkdale Pride 0815 claimed grand champion owned female honors after first winning early junior champion. Neil Ellmore, Covington, Ind., owns the February 2015 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.
Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., led the reserve grand champion owned female. Seldom Rest Pin Up Gal 5062 is an April 2015 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B. She first won late junior champion.
KAK Ms Adventurous 154 claimed grand champion bred-and-owned female honors after first winning intermediate champion. Kallie Knott, Laotto, Ind., owns the May 2015 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.
Karson Patton, Frankfort, Ind., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. SKPatton GWF Proven Queen505 is a March 2015 daughter of V A R Style 2089. She first won junior champion.
Austin Nowatzke exhibited the supreme champion and grand champion cow-calf pair. EXAR Envious Blackbird 7813 is a September 2013 daughter of Dameron First Impression. Her calf is a December 2015 heifer calf sired by WWSC Slider.
WCC Mignonne B50 claimed reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Devan Brown, Bloomington, Ind., owns the March 2014 daughter of TopLine Vision Fly Over 1395. A May 2016 heifer calf sired by C A F Special Force 307 is at side.
Millers Gaston 1815 won grand champion steer for Adam Miller, Gaston, Ind. He is a March 2015 son of LMF Radar 1710.
Dylan Young, Cicero, Ind., led the reserve grand champion steer. KNC Bismarck 507 is an April 2015 son of S A V Bismarck 5682.
