Angus Champions Parade at 2016 Illinois State Fair

            Angus enthusiasts led 109 entries at the 2016 Illinois State Fair Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, August 16 in Springfield, Ill. Berry Wesner, Chalmers, Ind., evaluated the 91 females, 15 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.

            Lemenager Role Model C90 claimed grand champion bull honors after first winning senior calf champion. Paige Lemenager, Hudson, Ill., owns the October 2015 son of EXAR First Class 1421B.

            Top Line In Time 5019 was named reserve grand champion bull. Eric Ewing and Matthew Ewing, both of Rushville, Ill., own the January 2015 son of PVF Insight 0129 that first won junior champion.

            Allison Hickey, Mount Pulaski, Ill., captured grand champion female honors with PVF Blackbird 5113. The March 2015 daughter of PVF Insight 0129 first won late junior champion.

            Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., led the reserve grand champion female. Dameron Princess 5218 is an October 2015 daughter of Dameron First Class. She first won senior calf champion.

            Olivia Wilson, Ogden, Ill., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. WCC Forever Lady B4 is a January 2014 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077. A March 2016 bull calf sired by Connealy Final Product completes the winning pair.

            Ewing Blackbird 407 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Austin Mussman, Grant Park, Ill., owns the January 2014 daughter of Ewing Justified. A January 2016 heifer calf sired by PVF Insight 0129 is at side.
