Champions Selected at the All-American Angus Breeders’ Futurity ROV Show
Angus breeders led 150 entries at the 2016 All-American Angus Breeders’ Futurity Roll of Victory (ROV) Show, June 12 in Louisville, Ky. Brad McCurry, Mount Hope, Kan., evaluated 111 females, 27 bulls, and 12 cow-calf pairs before choosing the winners.
Conley Sandy 5104 was named grand champion female. David Smith, Boulder, Colo., owns the March 2015 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B. She first won late junior champion.
Tristan Meier, Clinton, Tenn., led the reserve grand champion female after winning early junior champion. 3 ACES Shadoe 1055 is a January 2015 daughter of BC Eagle Eye 110-7.
CCC Womack Ace B505 earned grand champion bull honors. Cheyenne Jones, Franklinton, La., and J.R. Smoot, Campbellsville, Ky., own the October 2014 son of Dameron First Class. He first won senior champion.
APS Press Agent was selected as the reserve grand champion bull. Anne Patton Schubert, Taylorsville, Ky., owns the October 2015 son of PVF Insight 0129. He first won senior calf champion.
Caroline Cowles, Rockfield, Ky., owns the supreme champion and grand champion cow-calf pair. Champion Hill Georgina 8577 is a January 2014 daughter of S A V Bismarck 5682. A May 2016 heifer calf sired by S A V 004 Traveler 4836 completed the pair.
Jake Smith, Cullman, Ala., led the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. QVS B K Georgina 293 is a February 2013 daughter of S A V Pioneer 7301. Her calf is a March 2016 heifer sired by Connealy Final Product. She also claimed champion udder.
