The Angus Foundation Heifer Package, confirmed heifer pregnancies from top Angus breeders and seven terrific packages up for auction Jan. 11, 2017.

 

Your chance to support the Angus Foundation and take home a fantastic “souvenir” from the 2017 National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in Denver, Colo., is almost here.  

On Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at 5 p.m. Mountain time, at the beginning of the NWSS Angus Bull Sale, sponsored by the American Angus Association, the Angus Foundation will be auctioning off many items to support Angus youth, education and research initiatives.

Headlining the Angus Foundation items is the Angus Foundation Heifer Package.

This year’s package features Basin Lucy 6265, donated by Doug and Sharon Stevenson, Basin Angus Ranch, Joliet, Mont.; 30 days of free insurance from American Livestock Insurance Co., Geneva, Ill.; free transportation to the buyer’s ranch provided by Lathrop Livestock Transportation, Dundee, Ill.; and an advanced reproductive technology package from Trans Ova Genetics and its cloning division, ViaGen, Sioux Center, Iowa.

There are other opportunities to buy cattle while still supporting the Angus Foundation. Five notable Angus breeders from across the U.S. have generously donated confirmed heifer pregnancies that will available during the auction:

Package 1: 2017 Angus Foundation Golf Tournament Event Sponsorship

The Angus Foundation’s annual golf tournament is held in conjunction with the National Junior Angus Show (NJAS). The 2017 tournament will be in Des Moines, Iowa.

As the event sponsor, you will have your farm/ranch/company logo displayed on banners at the event, promotional brochures, the Angus Foundation website and a complimentary, full-page, four color ad in the NJAS event program.

In addition, you will receive publicity in news releases and other media distributed by the Angus Foundation about the golf tournament. And, of course, you will receive four complimentary rounds of golf at the tournament in Des Moines.

 

Package 2: Royal Caribbean Cruise

The Angus Foundation is auctioning off a 6-8 day cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Cruise to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada, Alaska or Europe at the timing of your choice through January 2019. Enjoy a balcony stateroom with an ocean view. You even have the option of applying the certificate to a more expensive trip. The package is donated by the Angus Foundation and Cotter Travel of Saint Joseph, Mo.

 

Package 3: One Day Ranch Photo Shoot

Need photos for your operation’s website or other promotional materials? Or simply wanting photo documentation of your Angus legacy? Then this is the package for you. Heidi Anderson of Legacy Livestock Imaging, a nationally acclaimed livestock photographer, will come to your ranch for a full day of shooting photos. The package includes a file of fully edited images and a display-ready 20 in. by 30 in. fine art print of your favorite photo.

 

Package 4: Relax at the Biltmore

Enjoy a luxurious four-day stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate® near Asheville, N.C. The package is valid during June-September 2017 and includes a two-night stay, daily chef’s breakfast buffet; a welcome basket of Biltmore wine, fruit and cheese in your room upon arrival; and estate daytime admission for the length of your stay.

 

Package 5: Vacation Experience in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Package 6: 2017 NJAS-Amana Lily Clock

The hand-crafted clock is an original Amana design with hand-carved lotus lilies in the lower corners and cattails in the upper corners. Clock is an original, handcrafted by only one craftsman who signs the piece upon completion. Clock cabinets are made in the Amana community furniture shop and the clock is finished with German mechanization.

 

Package 7: 2017 NJAS-Original Art

Nationally acclaimed Sticks Gallery artist Molly Bannon is creating an original piece especially for the 2017 NJAS, and you get to take one home. Each piece is handcrafted from birch, poplar and driftwood at the Sticks Gallery studio in Des Moines, Iowa.
