Sammy Kershaw Headlines National Angus Convention

For a chance to win Kershaw meet-and-greet passes, register by Sept. 23.

Country singer Sammy Kershaw, famous for hits such as “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Cadillac Style,” “Meant to Be” and “Love of My Life,” will entertain the crowd during the 2015 Angus Means Business National Convention & Trade Show in Overland Park, Kan.

Sponsored by Merck Animal Health, Kershaw takes the stage Nov. 4 and six lucky convention attendees will be awarded meet-and-greet passes before the show. Anyone who is registered for the National Angus Convention by Wednesday, Sept. 23, will be entered to win.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer meet-and-greet passes for Sammy Kershaw and hope everyone enjoys the top-notch entertainment we’ll offer at the National Angus Convention,” says Becky Weishaar, Angus Media’s Creative Media director and lead contact for the event.

Register online today to take advantage of this opportunity for you and five of your friends to meet the musician and have photos taken prior to Kershaw’s performance.

Before the concert begins, the trade show will feature Kansas City Blues and BBQ, where guests will experience a taste of the city with the Certified Angus Beef® (CAB®) brand. It’s sure to be an entertaining evening as convention attendees enjoy a delicious meal and music.

The Angus Means Business National Convention & Trade Show, Nov. 3-5 at the Overland Park Convention Center, is a meeting place for anyone responsible for quality beef production. It’s a celebration of what the industry has been able to accomplish — and will facilitate discussion for an even brighter future.

“The schedule for this year’s National Angus Convention is jam-packed with opportunities for cattle producers to learn from industry experts and connect with one another,” Weishaar says. “It’s a tremendous value when you consider the education, entertainment and outstanding meals our guests will enjoy while in Overland Park, Kansas.”

Access to the Kershaw concert is included in the $75 early registration fee, as well as the educational sessions, trade show and three CAB® meals. Participants are encouraged to register before the Oct. 2 deadline for the best value. After that date, registration increases to $125 per person from Oct. 3 to Oct. 16. All others must sign up onsite for $150 per person.

Education sessions include the International Angus Genomics Symposium, sponsored by Neogen GeneSeek® Operations, Innovation Workshops sponsored by Zoetis and Angus University, presented by Merck Animal Health. For more information on the events, view the full schedule online at angusconvention.com.

Delegates elected to represent their state during the Association’s Annual Convention may attend the Association business meetings for free; however, participation in convention education, meals, entertainment and trade show requires a full convention registration. Delegates and alternates are responsible for booking their hotel accommodations online, as well.

Sign up today and make your hotel reservations in the user-friendly system online. Also look for the National Angus Convention & Trade Show official guide to be mailed with the October issues of the Angus Journal and Angus Beef Bulletin.
