National Angus Convention: Three Reasons to Register Early

Delegates and alternates who register before Sept. 8 entered to win complimentary hotel stays.

The 2015 Angus Means Business National Convention & Trade Show is just around the corner, and the premier event hosted by the American Angus Association is sure to attract a crowd. Angus breeders, commercial cattlemen, feedyard managers and others involved in the high-quality beef chain will gather Nov. 3-5 in Overland Park, Kan.

Here are three reasons to visit www.angusconvention.com today to complete your registration.

1.      Delegates, alternates entered to win free hotel accommodations. The Association is offering two complimentary hotel nights for one delegate or alternate during the convention hotel block. Those registered before Sept. 8 will be eligible to win, and the Association will contact the recipient Sept. 9. Delegates elected to represent their state during the Association’s 132nd Annual Convention may attend the business meetings for free; however participation in convention, education, meals, entertainment and trade show requires a full convention registration.

2.      Early $75 registration presents best value. Convention attendees are encouraged to register online and make their hotel arrangements prior to the Friday, Oct. 2, early deadline. Included in the registration is complete access to convention educational programs and sessions — such as the International Angus Genomics Symposium and Angus University — meals featuring the Certified Angus Beef® (CAB) brand, and entertainment by country singer Sammy Kershaw. Registration increases to $125 per person from Oct. 3 to Oct. 16. After that date, participants may register onsite for $150.

3.      Confirm your travel plans for the must-attend event. Hotel rooms and travel are filling up quickly as cattlemen and women make plans to travel to Overland Park, Kan. You’ll also want to consider signing up for the preconvention ranch tour, hosted by the Kansas Angus Association, which takes place Monday, Nov. 2, and allows participants to spend a day viewing Angus cattle before activities begin at the Overland Park Convention Center. Plus, all attendees present at the convention on Tuesday, Nov. 3, will be eligible to win a Cat® 262D Skid Steer, generously donated by Caterpillar Inc.

For more information, go online to www.angusconvention.com and access a convention schedule, trade show map and more information on travel arrangements to Overland Park, Kan.
