Angus Foundation “Championing a Cause”
The annual Supporter Recognition Event will be Friday, Nov. 4 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Through 36 years of unprecedented success, the Angus Foundation has championed the cause of youth, education and research for the advancement of the Angus breed. Each year, the Angus Foundation aims to provide additional opportunities and strengthen donor support for the organization’s programs and events.
The Angus Foundation will once again recognize supporters who have contributed $250 or more during the current fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2015-Sept. 30, 2016). The event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Downtown Indianapolis Marriott, Indianapolis, Ind., in conjunction with the 2016 Angus Convention. For anyone interested in attending, there’s still time to submit a donation to the Angus Foundation.
“The Angus Foundation staff sees the Supporter Recognition Event as a time to say thank you and honor our generous supporters,” says Milford Jenkins, Angus Foundation president. “The Angus Foundation would not be able to support the Angus industry to such a high level without the support of so many philanthropic Angus breeders and friends.”
The evening will kick off with a social from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a dinner featuring the Certified Angus Beef® brand. During the program, outstanding supporters will be recognized, in addition to donors in the Lifetime Giving Recognition program who have reached or exceeded $25,000 in total giving this fiscal year.
The National Junior Angus Show (NJAS) Carcass Steer Contest winners will also be recognized and a special tribute will be given to longtime Angus Foundation champions, Mary Ann and the late David McMahon.
The program will be capped by the auction of the original pencil artwork “Concerned Mothers” by renowned Western artist, Brian Asher, Snyder, Texas. Proceeds will benefit the Angus Foundation’s education, youth and research initiatives.
