Ticket Deadline for Nichols Saddle and Sirloin Portrait Unveiling

Oct. 1 is the deadline to purchase tickets for the Saddle and Sirloin Portrait Event.

The deadline to attend the Dave Nichols portrait unveiling is Oct. 1. Those wishing to attend the 2015 Saddle & Sirloin Portrait Gallery Event, held at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), are encouraged to act quickly.

Supporters can purchase tickets or make charitable gifts toward portrait and banquet expenses in Nichols’ honor by visiting, www.nicholssaddleandsirloin.com.

A leader in both the Angus and Simmental breeds, Nichols was elected to the American Simmental Association board of directors, serving as its president in 1991; and he is a current member of the American Angus Association Board of Directors. Nichols Farms has grown under his leadership to encompass 5,500 acres, 1,500 head of breeding stock and a small feedlot.

The Saddle & Sirloin Club will honor these and Nichols’ other industry contributions, too numerous to list, during a special program and portrait unveiling at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, in the South Wing Conference Center of the KFEC.

Contact American Simmental Association’s Nancy Tom at 210-487-0661; or Angus Foundation President Milford H. Jenkins at 816-383-5100 to learn more about each respective organization’s fundraising goals for the project, which include upcoming auctions of an elite cow from each respective breed, donated by Nichols Farms.

If you wish to attend this special event, you will want to purchase your ticket(s) by Oct. 1.  The Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Hotel is serving as the Angus headquarters hotel, and rooms are available for $135 per night. Give them a call at 1-888-233-9527 or go online for more information. The room block ends Oct. 16.
