Northeast
Nebraska is Home to 2013 Nebraska Angus Tour
Norfolk, Neb., is the
headquarters of the 2013 Nebraska Angus Tour. The event will kick off at 8 a.m.
Sept. 21 at the North East Community College. The college will host breakfast
and display cattle at the Charles Pohlman Ag Complex from
Jindra Angus, Pohlman Angus
Farm, Sonderup Angus and Timperley Cattle.
From Norfolk, the tour
group will head to Royal, Neb., to the Central Valley Ag Coop and tour the new
agronomy hub facility. Landmark Angus, Brunswick, Neb., will welcome the tour
group for the lunch stop, with cattle on display from the Mark Brookhouser family, T-Bone Angus.
Also scheduled is a
stop at Bartos Angus, Verdigre,
Neb., where tour-goers can learn about Brent and Jemi
Frederick’s breeding program. The group will then visit the Chief Standing Bear
Memorial Bridge, which joins Nebraska and South Dakota over the Missouri River.
The tour concludes near Crofton, Neb., at Foxhoven Angus. Here, participants receive the chance to view
cattle from Leader Angus Farm.
